Formal Complaints

We strive at all times to follow The Radio Code as laid out by the Broadcasting Standards Authority. If you think we have breached these standards you are welcome to make a formal complaint here on our website.

To complain about an on-air broadcast, you must do so in writing, either by using the form on this page or by writing to our station manager at 357 Victoria Avenue, Whanganui 4500.

A formal complaint must include:

  • the time and date of the broadcast
  • the standards you think we have breached
  • your reasons why you think they were breached

We must receive your complaint within 20 working days of the broadcast.

We must reply to you within 20 working days of receiving your complaint. If you are not satisfied with our response you can then refer it to the BSA, which you must do within 10 working days of receiving our response.

Note: you can only complain directly to the Broadcasting Standards Authority (BSA) if you are alleging a breach of privacy. Write to the BSA at PO Box 9213 Wellington 6001, or use the BSA online complaint form.
